Materials List
All materials listed should be separated from each other. Materials should be kept clean and dry.
CRV ALUMINUM CANS: $1.65
Crushing is not necessary. Please keep cans clean and dry. Foil and pie plates are not accepted. Loads with contaminants such as dirt, moisture, or garbage will receive a reduction in the price paid. Heavily contaminated cans will be rejected.
SCRAP ALUMINUM CANS: 10 cents per lb.
Aluminum cans without the CRV label. Examples: aluminum cat food cans, aluminum Slimfast, aluminum juice concentrate cans. The same rules apply as above.
CRV PET PLASTIC: $1.47 per lb.
Examples: plastic soda, juice, water, sport drink, distilled spirit, and tonic water bottles. Please rinse out and take off caps. Small loads may be counted. Bottles over 24 oz-10 cents, under 24 oz-5 cents.
CRV GLASS: 10.2 cents per lb.
Examples: beer, wine cooler, juices, wine, distilled spirits, ice tea and mineral water bottles. Take off caps and separate by color. Clear from colored glass. Glass with a hint of green or blue should be kept with colored glass. Broken glass will not be accepted.
CRV BIMETAL CANS: 41 cents per lb.
Examples: steel Sapporo beer cans
CRV #2 HDPE PLASTIC: 63 cents per lb.
Gallon water jugs, Minute Maid juice cocktails, Sunny Delite.
CRV #3-#7 PLASTICS
Beverages with a CRV label in other types of plastic containers. We try our best to count these containers. Bottles over 24 oz: 10 cents/under 24 oz: 5 cents. WDS
WINE & LIQUOR CONTAINERS: 25 cents per container
Pouches, Boxes, Cartons
Milk, Slimfast, Ensure, Carpri Sun, and several other containers are NOT CRV!
QUESTIONS? If you have questions about the new CRV laws, they can be answered at 842-9119. If you are being charged in error, call 1-800-RECYCLE or the Sacramento field office of the Division of Recycling at 1-916-327-2792. We cannot pay redemption on items being charged in error.
DROP OFF LIST
SCRAP GLASS:
Examples: food containers. Take off lids and separate by color. Labels may be left on, but please rinse out. We cannot accept broken glass, Pyrex, window glass or ceramics.
PLASTIC:
Rinse out containers and take off caps. We accept #1 and #2 plastic. Turn the jug upside down and look for a 1 or 2 inside the recycling symbol. We cannot accept motor oil or antifreeze bottles. We can only recycle bottles and jugs. We cannot recycle bags or tubs marked with #2. Please separate #1 and #2 plastic.
CARDBOARD:
We can only take clean, dry corrugated cardboard. Please, no waxed cardboard, cereal boxes, detergent boxed or shoeboxes. Brown paper bags can be recycled with cardboard.
OFFICE PAPER:
White computer paper, copy paper, letterhead, typing paper, colored copy paper, post-it notes, fax paper, legal pad paper, envelopes with or without windows, shredded office paper. Please do not put newsprint or magazines in this paper.
STEEL CANS:
Examples: vegetables and fruit in metal cans aka “tin cans”. Rinse out and remove labels. Contaminated cans will not be accepted.
